Workshop: Online via Zoom – Review, revive, and/or recycle your unfinished art in 2026

Cheryl Buckel will lead a workshop to fulfill one of her New Years resolutions; to take a look at the past years artistic journey, through reviewing successes, and looking at possibilities for future art. The workshop will primarily focus on watercolor or media done on paper, but some of the methodology can be used for art done on canvas. This workshop will be held online via Zoom. Once you have paid for the workshop, you will receive the Zoom link. Click here for the payment link.
Cheryl says, “If you are like me, you have stacks of unfinished artwork surrounding you.” She has created a system to get your art to a finished product to be proud of in a new in person/online workshop offering in 2026.
First steps
Gather up and dust of all of your old paintings. We will take a journey through your artwork looking at each piece and categorizing them into groups.
Critique as a group
There’s nothing more energizing than having a group conversation about a piece of art you may have given up on, only to hear ideas and excitement of others for possibilities you may never have considered.
Plan of action
Once you have heard and discovered new interest in your piece, we will explore how and where to get started on finishing it. There are small steps you can take that will lead you into emerse yourself in finishing that work.
What to do with the hopeless
So now that you have figured out how to finish a few of your art works, what can you do with those you find hopeless. This section of the workshop is the most invigorating! We will explore the salvageable areas of each and show you how you can create something new and exciting.
Workshop
The workshop will be approximately 2 hours long. Workshop will cost $15.00.
You will need to bring the following:
1. 3 to 10 pieces of unfinished/discarded art on paper
2. A small set of watercolor paints and brushes (you may find you want to get started on something right away)
3. A notebook for collecting ideas and outcomes
