Photography
Photography has been a lifetime hobby for me beginning with 35mm film While our boys were wrestling I acquired a Minolta camera with a 50-300mm lens. I eventually became the team photographer and gave parents copies of their sons’ events. Additionally, I receivedd requests to photograph weddings for family and friends. During my sister-in-law’s wedding, I shadowed her paid photographer who discovered afterwards (still film days) that her camera was broke and no pictures. . . my sister-in-law was very grateful mine turned out fine.
In 2008 I acquired a Nikon D60 and entered the digital realm. My first major outing was at the Blue Angels airshow in Wisconsin. Got some pretty cool pictures. My work required a lot of travel thus I have a collection of many activities; competition water skiing, horse pulling, mud racing, antique locomotives and fifeworks to name a few. 2013 I upgraded to a Nikon D7100. Officially retired now and devoting more time to the hobby.
Photography captures a “Moment in Time” to be preserved and viewed by others for many years to come. Otherwise, that moment is but a memory if not forgotten.
