My formal art education is partly the result of ongoing curiosity and party because of being the daughter of Beverly Pedersen. I have been making fiber art since age 3, which now includes soft sculpture and costuming. When deciding about college, I reasoned that engineers do art but artists rarely do engineering. As someone who likes to know where her next meal is coming from, I chose engineering, figuring that I could art after retirement. And here I am!
