Amy Burnett, A.A., B.A., B.A.ed., M.A.

Belfair, WA

Educated at Olympic College, Central University and LA Art Center College of Design. An artist who is a fourth-generation Bremertonian, she currently lives in Belfair, is married to Earl Sande and owned and operated the Amy Burnett Fine Art Gallery. Amy also produces films and documentaries, is a columnist and author of several books.

Amy Burnett has interacted with the Sidney Art Gallery almost from the beginning.  She moved back to Bremerton from Seattle in the ’70s and was soon involved with the South Kitsap Artists, Brad Buskirk’s Manette gallery and Viking Fest, and soon took notice of the Sidney Gallery in Port Orchard.  The director at the time was Helen Norris, who would soon become a best friend to Amy and in the late ’80s surprised her by turning up at a feature art opening in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  In July and August 2021, her exhibition “Isolation – Artist Behind Glass” were featured at the Sidney Art Gallery.

Amy Burnett is the judge for the 2024 Helen Norris Open Art Show at the Sidney Art Gallery.
