Strings, Keyboards, Percussion, Bass

On the first day, we plan a fluid, unstructured introduction to music – a freeform, creative musical tour. Bring your curiosity, questions, or your own instrument. Expand your talent or skills. Watch demonstrations, critiques and encouragement. Visit with experienced musicians playing their particular instruments (guitar, percussion, keyboard, bass) and answering your questions and demonstrating techniques or giving instructions on various techniques. No reservations required.

Performance Day

Live Music | 12 – 15 performers

Day 2 – But I want to play! Open to the public. Sign up to play on the second day by filling out the form below. Application due by mid-May. Since this is a “family friendly” event we expect nothing offensive, but your music is your choice. You will have 15 minutes from stepping up to the microphone to taking you bows when you step off.

Or come in and listen to the music, enjoy  food, have  fun and meet new folks.

The 1st Annual Port Orchard Folk Music Symposium is a family friendly event designed to allow musicians to play for 15 minutes. I understand performers are not paid. I understand that I will have 15 minutes including set-up to perform. I understand that I have complete freedom to play my music but I agree that it will be appropriate for a family friendly event.
