Virtual Margaret Lemke - Solvent Free Oil Painting - January 16, 2021, 10 am to 4 pm

ML1 6255cr 2 webMargaret Lemke is new to the Sidney Art Galley but we are assured she is a great artist and a great teacher.  She will be teaching this class via Zoom.  The fee is for the class and you are responsible for the supplies.  The supply list can be found here.  Margaret Lemke has enjoyed work as a Certified Professional Portrait Photographer as well as a photojournalist.  That work taught her composition, color temperature and finding the light.  But oil painting gives her the joy and tactile pleasure she didn't experience with photography.  "There is just something about the feel of the oils when you put brush to canvas.  It becomes a part of you."  Margaret will be conducting a Zoom class in using water mixable oil paints.  You will learn the best uses and practices of this medium and the choice to paint solvent free.  Class will be on Saturday, October 17 from 10 am to 4 pm (with a break in the middle).  This is a class suitable for beginners or experienced painters.
